During the initial screening phone call, I try to understand the main issues, and I usually limit my appointments to those patients whom I can help effectively within the scope of this practice.

I agree; however, this arrangement offers advantages to my patients and myself, such as privacy, flexibility, and low operating costs.

Treatment guidelines do not restrict Suboxone maintenance to a certain period, and Suboxone is approved by the FDA for long-term treatment. Tapering off Suboxone is a decision made by the patient and supported by the provider when the patient has been fully reintegrated into social and work environments and is well versed in 12-step recovery.
